Head of Commercial Operations - New Units (m/f/d)

As Head of Commercial Operations - New units within the Global Sales Support organization of the Business Unit Jenbacher your role is to lead the Commercial Operations department for New Units that supports our regional sales and commercial teams in commercial, contractual and technical aspects.

The Head of Commercial Operations - New Units will lead a team with following responsibilities:

Risk management

  • Own and support a wing-to-wing proposal management (compliance with risk policy and rules of procedure, deal pricing …)
  • Own and lead the global bid-risk-review process
  • Elaborate special release documents for project specific changes aside from the standard product program
  • Support project teams on alignment of deal structure and prioritization of proposals
  • Audit risk process
  • Check technical conformity of our products

Sales and commercial support

  • Own and maintain standard proposal documents (e.g. contract templates, country-specific price lists, specifications, …)
  • Support the regional sales and commercial teams on proposals
  • Support the creation of proposals for complex projects
  • Support the regional sales and commercial teams on negotiations of complex projects
  • Ensure training of regional sales and commercial teams on processes, sales tools, products
  • Prepare project relevant contractual documents (contract templates, calculations, specifications, …)
  • Ensure technical support of regional sales and commercial teams in negotiations with customers
  • Initiate product adaptions according to country-specific requirements

Team Lead and Development

  • Lead and develop a team of specialized commercial managers who support the regional sales and commercial teams
  • Support the development of the regional commercial teams and ensure know how transfer to the regions
  • Strongly contribute to regional commercial strategies reg. key customers, key projects, sales initiatives, etc.

Support maintenance of sales tools

  • Ensure support of the implementation/change of software tools for creation of technical specifications
  • Ensure support of the implementation/change of ERP Software for creation of project specific offers / calculations / configurations / handover to production, etc.
  • Ensure support of implementation/change of various applications for technical calculations (e.g. calculation of gas analysis, engine efficiency, etc.)

Your qualification:

  • Degree (Bachelor/Master) in Business, Legal or business-related discipline from an accredited college or university
  • Commercial experience in the relevant industry, preferably in reciprocating engine industry
  • Experience in negotiation of complex projects
  • Experience in elaborating complex commercial/contractual tasks
  • Ability to think/act interdisciplinary (commercial/legal/technical)
  • Used to work in process-oriented environment
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
  • Fluency in German and English language, any further language is a plus

The base pay is composed of the amount according to the Austrian collective agreement which is at least EUR 3.614,05 gross per month (x 14) and an over payment depending on your qualifications and experience.

This is a SPB position.
