What's the role?

As Strategic Supply Manager your job is to define, implement and lead the global supply strategy for a product group and the introduction of new developed products (metal installation products). Within Hilti you are accountable for the global purchase volume of your product category and your impact is directly visible in the financial performance of the business and the successful introduction of new products. You are working directly with our Business Installation Unit in Schaan/Liechtenstein and with Hilti colleagues all over the world.

What does the role involve?

Develop and drive strategic initiatives in our global supply network with suppliers especially in Europe, Asia and America and further develop our global supplier base. Deliver on challenging availability and financial targets by identifying and realization of cost reduction potentials together with our international supply teams around the world. Accompany supply related questions during product development including make-or-buy decisions and selecting the best suppliers for new products.

What you need is:

  • University Degree in a technical or economical field.
  • Minimum 3 years working experience in a purchasing department of a global company.
  • Experience with stamping, bending, welding and assembly of steel components.
  • Strong management of stakeholders and target orientation in a matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (mandatory) and German (strongly recommended).
  • Highly committed personality and excellent analytical skills.
  • Strong in execution as well as outstanding capability in negotiations.
  • Willingness to travel globally up to 30%.

The yearly salary for this fulltime position states a minimum of 54.000 Euro. This position is subject to the collective agreement for employees in metal trade, employment group 4. We are willing to negotiate and offer an attractive performance-oriented remuneration package above the minimum salary based on your excellent skills and know-how.
