Labour Law Specialist (m/f/d)


Job Summary

The Legal Counsel is providing legal advice on general corporate law issues (e.g. capital increases, legal requirements for banking services and employment law), on corporate governance issues (statutory requirements, articles of association, shareholder meetings, etc.) and matters related to Corporate Housekeeping of SBAG (organization of Board Meetings, applications to boards, etc.). The Legal Counsel is responsible for monitoring changes in law affecting the unit and for the adaption of the respective statutory documents in order to establish full compliance with the law. He/she is responsible for advising on issues related to the subsidiary banks from a participation and corporate governance perspective.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Provide expert opinions on Austrian labour law
  • Handle legal issues relating to corporate law
  • Provide expert opinions on Austrian corporate law
  • Provide legal advice to
  • • Management Board and Supervisory Board of SBAG
  • • all divisions and departments of SBAG requiring such advice
  • • other affiliated companies of SBAG (including subsidiaries and other members of the SBAG group) upon request
  • Monitor and organize the implementation of regulatory changes as well as changes in the governing law to the existing corporate governance structure (bylaws, articles of association, etc.)

Your Profile

  • University degree in Law
  • Additional Qualification is a plus: Bar Exam, Postgraduate, Doctor iuris
  • 5+ years of legal professional experience in law firm, bank or similar
  • analytical skills and ability to do professional research
  • good knowledge of MS Office and various law databases
  • English and German language is a must requirement, Russian language or other languages used in the SBEU Group are an add-on

Annual Gross salary starting from EUR55.000,- based on our collective bargaining agreement (for 38,5 hours/week) - additional payment according to skills and experience. The position can be filled as soon as possible.
