As Merchandise Planning Manager you will be responsible for the creation of a complete inventory management system for our licensed brands, ensuring effective and consistent inventory flow and control in order to maximize the efficient delivery of stock orders to our customers (Distribution partners & direct retailers) as well as from the suppliers to our warehouse.

Your responsibilities will be, but not limited to:

  • Create a clear OTB (Open to Buy) system in line with the company's strategic plans for our licensed brands.
  • Financial planning - budgeting, forecasting, margin/profitability management
  • Managing the reports:
  • Sales reports - do sales analysis and provide customized overviews for Sales/PM colleagues
  • Inventory management - stock overview, stock allocation, ordering, exit strategy for disc/slow moving merchandise
  • Stock analysis - analyze stock levels and stock turn targets in line with OTB
  • Design and implement key analysis reporting functions currently not in place
  • Working with Brand and Sales Teams to build core, country specific ranges and provide ongoing analysis of these to maximise sales potential in line with market needs and trends.
  • PO management and effective internal communication with Purchasing, Quality Management, Product Management, Customer Services, Operations, Logistical & Warehousing functions
  • Inventory Management - stock allocation to the different customers, prepare order proposals, place orders together with Purchasing Manager, and follow up on the on-time delivery of products.
  • Planning - Follow up on Orders and reorder schedule with customers/sales after each seasonal presentation as well as during the year (on-going replenishment). Rolling forecast of the demand based on stock and sales.


As Merchandise Planning Manager you will play a pivotal role in setting up Merchandise Management processes and best practices for our licensed brands. Therefore you will be an excellent communicator with a strong background in merchandise planning.

In order to succeed in this role you will also bring:

  • At least 5+ years' experience in merchandise planning, experience setting up processes within merchandise planning would be an advantage
  • Ideally a Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject
  • Numeric and analytical thinking are a must
  • Strong business acumen
  • Fluency in English. German would be an advantage

Due to legal reasons, we advise that the collectively agreed base annual salary for this position is at least EUR 41.000., - gross.
