Country Risk Analyst (f/m/d)

We are the operative credit risk management and analysis department for countries/sovereigns and financial institutions in Erste Group. We rate and analyse countries and banks, set credit limits for our group and approve credit applications from various business units of the Holding.
You will be part of a team of 3 people and assess country and sovereign risk in emerging and developed markets globally.

Your tasks

  • Create reports with an economic and political assessment and try to incorporate this in our business and risk strategies
  • Run the sovereign risk rating model of Erste Group
  • Contribute investment recommendations and advise business lines
  • Control Erste Group's country and sovereign limits
  • Prepare credit risk and watch list reports
  • Run the Early Warning tool
  • If required, present recommendations and conclusions to internal clients including the board

Your background

  • University degree in economics
  • Sound knowledge of macroeconomics and political economy
  • Experience in assessing country and sovereign risks advantageous
  • Strong networking and communication skills
  • Internal customer orientation
  • Analytical and critical thinking
  • Willingness to act responsibly and independently
  • PC skills Bloomberg and Excel VBA
  • fluent English and German; other CEE languages are definitely a benefit
