Internship ESG Analyst

As fully-owned subsidiary of Erste Group Bank AG, Erste Asset Management GmbH coordinates and is responsible for all asset management activities of the Group. More than 300 employees develop and manage investment solutions for our investors across 6 different countries.

Our ESG team manages funds and portfolios of more than EUR 5 billion in AuM, making us the market leader in Austria.

Internship ESG Analyst (six months)

Your tasks and responsibilities:

The successful candidate will work as a fully integrated ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) team member with a strong technical background (cross-functional role) on the following tasks:

  • Automating business process workflows for ESG reporting on a fund level and for holdings
  • ESG Integration - build new reporting and visualization tools to help fund managers better understand and use ESG data
  • Working on EAM's engagement process, set up of interfaces (data- and file level integration)
  • Simplifying and refurbishing existing Excel spreadsheets and processes
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of responsible investing
  • Provide research on companies' and countries' ESG performance
  • Identify ESG factors as prognostic indicators for financial risks

Your offer:

  • Strong programming (R, Excel VBA, Matlab) and database (SQL) skills are a must
  • Bachelor's degree in technical studies or finance
  • Strong analytical capability and a precise style of working
  • Passion for data management, especially for matching data from different research provider on an issuer level
  • Excellent communication skills and adapt quickly to new challenges
  • A broad understanding of various asset classes and markets is a plus
  • Fluency in German, English
