SAP BI Project Manager


The Information Technology Department at our headquarters manages our global IT agenda. To promote further constant growth, we are expanding our team within the Business Applications Team and are looking for an experienced and ambitious SAP BI Project Manager (m/f). The BI Project Manager leads challenging BI projects in the sales area within the Business Intelligence team. You act as point of contact for the corresponding business department and manage the relationship with the relevant stakeholders, coordinate a team of external consultants and you are responsible for the project budget. The job is an opportunity to work with the latest SAP technology, prepare the BI landscape toward a roadmap that includes S/4 Hana and the latest BI front-end tools such as Lumira or SAP Analytics Cloud.

Areas that play to your strengths

  • Project Management

Discuss business requirements in the area of reporting.

Define work packages and project plan.

Managing technical implementation.

Resource planning and consultant management.

Project budget tracking and project controlling.

Risk assessment and issue tracking.

  • Solution Design

Coordinate a team of technical experts to design new solutions for a centralized environment in a highly integrated data warehouse with different SAP source systems (SAP CRM, ERP systems) as well as external non-SAP systems.

Oversee the translation of business requirements into the technical solution, from design till go live.

  • Sales & Markets

Develop and manage relationship, drive requirements engineering within sales departments of different markets.

Develop annual budgets for implementation and maintenance within the area of reporting.

Plan and manage the effective allocation of budget resources to IT/business requirements.

Ensure compliance with company and specifically such departments as sales data integration, sales controlling, DQM departments.

Your experience includes:

(proven performance in)

More than 4 years of experience in the Business Intelligence area, preferably within a FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) environment

Knowledge in SAP BW on HANA is an advantage

Focus on Sales dataset and reporting is an advantage

Experience in managing projects

Ability to understand complex processes, identify risks and find solutions

Pro-active and customer-oriented mind-set

Communication skills, team player

  • University Degree in Computer Science / Business Administration or equal practical experience
  • Very good English language skills (written and spoken), German beneficial

However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
