for Assembly (f/m/d)

You are an EXPERT Manufacturing Engineer and specialized on assembly and end-of-line testing processes? You would love to work in a global acting Center of Excellence (CoE) structure and are passionate about sharing your know how and experience across all PALFINGER assembly sites and product lines? You are open minded to different cultures, evolved systems and processes? Your strong analytical mindset helps you to understand, evaluate improvement and implement processes in a joint effort between local staff and CoE staff? You have a strong hands-on mentality but also can work conceptually? Here is what you are looking for!

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You work as an expert in the global Center of Excellence for ME in ASSEMBLY. The general purpose of the ME CoE ASSEMBLY is
  • to offer capabilities, standards, tools, training, services, audits to regional and local operation units as well as product lines
  • to define, release and implement design and assembly guidelines together with the respective product line (PNORMEN, PVAs, …)
  • to standardize and implement assembly documents (e.g. work instructions, end-of-line test procedures, checklists, ...)
  • to consult the product lines during the product development process (PEP) respectively new product implementation regarding assembly related feasibility of developments and approve the release of specific stage gates in PEP
  • to generate synergies, share and implement best practice processes and systems in assembly across all product lines and assembly sites
  • You act either as a project leader or as a project team member. As a project leader, you are fully responsible to achieve the defined targets according to the project order. As a project team member, you sign responsible for the specific task / work package allocated to you
  • You also audit (verify and validate) the effectiveness and/or conformity of processes and realized projects, initiate corrective measures if necessary and escalate to the functional superior if necessary

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Technical background (HTL/FH) a/o extensive experience as production supervisor or team leader of production related support functions
  • Good knowledge of ME systems and tools
  • Deep understanding of LEAN principles
  • Good knowledge of Industrial Engineering systems and tools (routings, standard timing)
  • Good knowledge of cost calculation
  • Good knowledge ERP systems (preferably SAP)
  • Knowledge of CAD systems and tools preferably
  • Experience in participating a/o managing (agile) international projects
  • Experience as internal or external consultant is an advantage
  • High IT affinity (MS Office, collaboration tools, project management tools, ...)
  • Very good English skills
  • Flexibility and self-initiative
  • Analytical mind with a precise and structured way of working and pronounced communications skills
  • Willingness to travel (>50%)

A gross monthly salary of at least EUR 40.362,42 shall be paid for this post, taking into account the collective agreement for the metal industry.
