Field Instrumentation Engineer (m/w/x) in Villach, Austria

Position Description:

To strengthen our Customer Service Team in Villach we are looking for a Field Instrumentation Engineer (m/f)

In this position you will take care of customer issues with digital products and valve diagnostic systems on sites mainly within the European, Middle East and Africa regions. You will be the point-of-contact for the custo mer to provide appropriate solutions to their best satisfaction, with the goal to develop a close partnership to the customer. You will be primary based in Villach and work in the Center of Excellence Digital Products on positioner configuration, testing and repair as well as providing online and telephone support.

Principle accountabilities:

  • Strict compliance to the Flowserve Safety Regulations
  • Customer support and development of extraordinary solutions to achieve highest satisfaction
  • Start-up and turn-around assistance "Asset Management Systems"
  • Onsite and workshop analysis and diagnostics of control valve issues
  • Repairs, inspections and technical reporting of electrical /electronical products (positioners etc.)
  • Close partnership and collaboration with other departments and Flowserve sites (Commercial Op.,Engineering, Production, etc.)
  • Execution of trainings for service partners, customers and plant operators

Position Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Technical apprenticeship or equivalent (HTL) required, BSc in Electrical Engineering or similar preferred
  • 5+ years of adequate experience in flow control industry required
  • Experience with Distributed Control Systems and Asset Management Systems
  • Understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID)
  • Good analytical and statistical skills as well as advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Sound command of the English and German language; additional languages as advantage
  • Customer and solution oriented, with excellent ethical behavior
  • Ability in working offshore, certification preferred
  • High resilience and organizations talent
  • Accurate and professional way of working

  • Continuous professional development (product knowledge, intercultural skills, etc.)
  • 50% global travel

Preferences:

Required information pursuant to section 9 of the Austrian Treatment Act (GleichbehandlungsG): Minimum yearly gross remuneration as per collective agreement from EUR 40.500,-- upwards - overpayment depending on qualifications and professional experience
