Head of Beverage Innovation

In this important position you´ll take the technical and organizational lead on beverage innovation projects to identify solutions, deliver innovation portfolio and strengthen fundamental research to deliver powerful scientific findings. You´ll work closely together with Marketing to leverage and translate consumer insight based on market researches into project pipelines. As Head of Beverage Innovation you´ll collaborate both internally and externally to build relationships to continuously improve technical skills and personal development, including coaching others to facilitate their professional development. Transfer strategic and business mission statements to department level, implement system structure throughout the value chain with focus on beverage production.

  • Managing the business/process management

Manage and continuously strive to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of beverage innovations

Improve product development systems, processes, and policies to support the organization´s mission

  • Communication/People management

Manage performance through feedback, coaching, counselling and performance reviews

Manage and develop a team of beverage development specialists on Red Bull´s standards and personal needs

  • Project management

Manage beverage and cross functional projects within Operations

Continuous improvement of project management tools and methods

Tracking and monitoring of project progress and resources

Your experience includes:

(proven performance in)

Minimum 8 years as a Product Development Manager for beverages and/or food manufacturing

Knowledge and experience of all kinds of beverages, including ingredients, formulation, processing and packing

Experienced in e.g. SAP or other systems related to development and production data

Hands-on experience within the food/beverage industry advantageous

Knowledge of introducing new products utilizing a stage gate process

Experienced and highly skilled in project management

Current understanding of market/competitive activity

Strong knowledge in ingredient, packaging material food manufacturing processes

Strong understanding of business acumen

Highly developed leadership skills to provide mentoring, coaching, training and feedback

Great communication skills: interpersonal, presentation, oral and written

  • MS degree or higher in Food Science, Food Engineering, Food Technology or related fields.
  • Fluent in English

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 2591 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
