About you

You are a passionate technician. An analytical thinker. Well-structured and at the same time creative when it comes to finding innovative solutions. You tackle problems as they arise. You like to work with different teams towards one goal - getting the job done. Your curiosity for new challenges and working environments makes you ready to travel up to 80% of your time worldwide for this role.

In addition, you have:

  • University degree or higher technical education in the fields of mineral resources engineering, industrial environmental protection & process engineering, chemical engineering, ceramics, mechanical engineering, electric engineering or automation
  • 5 years of experience in leading international project teams and developing people
  • 10 years of professional experience in a technical area
  • Understanding of business economics
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English
  • Proficiency in MS Office; CAD, SAP skills are beneficial

About the job

As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for budgeting and handling technical transfer and investment projects. You will be an integral part of the Operations team, coordinating engineering activities and supporting the search of engineering partners. You'll act as an interface to suppliers and participate in negotiations. Your comprehensive technical background allows you to actively identify potentials and promote technical improvements.

Your tasks will include:

  • Creation of all necessary submission documents in line with our investment principles
  • Preparation of tender and order documents
  • Creation of monthly status reports (costs and timeline) incl. cost controlling
  • Responsibility during the commissioning phase and project support until handover to the plant management
  • Directly reporting to the Head of Operations EU2

  • A full time position (38.5 hours/week) at one of our Austrian (or European) plant locations
  • The monthly salary for this full-time position starts at EUR 3,977.90, according to our collective bargaining agreement. Your actual salary will be based on your qualifications and experience.
