  • Sole responsibility for the entire data privacy activities in all legal entities in Austria
  • Leading the privacy compliance program for all divisions and business services or group functions in Austria supported by the Country Legal Head
  • Strong support of all commercial divisions and active participation in the Privacy Network and working groups (e. g. regional privacy calls, regional meetings etc.)
  • Close cooperation with Global Privacy Network and contact person for data privacy questions and global initiatives in respect to local data privacy
  • Ensurement, coordination and support of appropriate data privacy organization at country level supported by the Legal Head
  • Efficient collaboration and communication with Data Privacy counterparts in the Global Privacy Network to support the implementation of the privacy program in line with local laws and business needs
  • Working with local organizations to handle inspections, audits and data privacy incidents according to legal requirements and internal policies and procedures
  • Sharing information and expertise with all businesses in the country
  • Reporting on major local developments and material issues to Head Data Privacy Country Operations
  • Remain fully knowledgeable about privacy and data protection laws, local interpretations, developments and trends in Austria and working developments in Europe, US and other key markets


  • Master Degree/Law Degree/Chartered Accountant/MBA
  • Demonstrably and excellent Data Privacy expertise
  • Must have at least 5 years of experience in area of compliance, risk management, internal audit, data privacy, imparting training etc.
  • Proven hands on experience in working with regulations or legal issues relating data privacy
  • Excellent knowledge of privacy data protection laws
  • Strong access to business needs and ability to identify and understand commercial issues
  • Excellent English AND German skills
  • Business or market experience as well as project management know-how and legal or compliance background
  • Willing to travel as needed (Privacy Network meetings)
  • Solid communication (peer and non-peer communication), presentation and writing skills
  • Results oriented team player, and able to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Enthusiastic and disciplined self-starter, capability to work with experts on equal terms, open-minded to international teams and clients
  • High interest in and in-depth knowledge of innovative methods
