REEEP FINANCE & OPERATIONS ASSISTANT (25 H/WEEK)

REEEP is seeking a pro-active, service-oriented and flexible part-time Finance & Operations Assistant, who wants to grow with REEEP.

The Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Partnership (REEEP) invests in clean energy markets in low- and middle-income countries to generate energy access, improve lives and economic opportunities, build sustainable markets, and combat climate change. REEEP is a Quasi-International Organisation under Austrian law operating in a growing international environment that is rapidly expanding in influence and impact. REEEP has a young and results-oriented team at its International Secretariat in Vienna, Austria and cooperates closely with international partner organisations.

About the Role

Being part of REEEP Operations and reporting to the Senior Manager, Finance, s/he will support REEEP's financial and office operations by an accurate and timely

  • Processing of invoices
  • Processing of bank statements, payments and other accounting tasks
  • Assisting with reconciliations, year-end tasks and supporting the annual audit

Moreover, s/he will be responsible for ensuring a comprehensive and professional

  • Front desk management, visitors' access, meeting and catering organization
  • Office, calendar and travel management for the Executive Management
  • Meeting management including organization, agenda and minutes for the Executive Management
  • Timesheet, home office and leave documentation
  • Travel booking management for REEEP staff
  • Office supply management
  • Related administrative duties

About the Profile

The incumbent's set of qualifications and experience shall include

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or related field or HAK-graduate with equivalent professional experience
  • At least one year of relevant working experience, preferably in an international environment
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and consequently follow-up
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong team work and interpersonal skills
  • Solid command of MS office (esp. Excel and Word) and BMD software
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Fluency in English (REEEP's working language) and German (professional working proficiency)

About the Package

For this 25h/week part-time position, REEEP offers a minimum monthly salary of EUR 1.250,00 (gross, paid 14 times per year, subject to Austrian social security deduction, currently free of income tax due to REEEP's status as "Quasi International Organisation"). It further includes five weeks paid leave as well as an average of 14 Austrian and UN holidays per annum. The envisaged starting date is January 2019.

The office location is the Vienna International Centre ('UNO City') in Vienna, Austria. REEEP is not in the position to cover relocation costs or any other travel costs incurred, e.g. for job interviews.

Due to its special legal status, applicants must have a valid residency permit for Austria/EU, but do not require a work permit.
