Senior Business Analyst (m/f)

Job Summary

Acts as a link between IT development and business units during analyzis, design, implementation and testing of new and enhancement of existing systems. Supports business in defining requirements in the Data Warehouse and/or Business Intelligence environments. Closely works together with BI Developer, Architects or other IT functions within Sberbank Europe AG and with external partners. Implements prototype solutions. Identifies system- and business requirements, evaluates applications, develops suggestions for alternatives, designs, develops and modifies solutions in information technology, and carries out complex analysis in data warehouse environments (DWH). The employment is limited for 2 years.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Collects business requirements and data needs from business, translates those into functional specifications and aligns them with relevant stakeholders
  • Supports analysis and documentation of DWH, BI-related business, IT processes and end-to-end processes
  • Performs logical Data Warehouse modelling (Business Data Model, Business Glossary)
  • Reviews IT system requirements from technical and business perspective
  • Support projects with definition of requirements for daily IT operations (e.g. job schedule for end-of-day processing, user authorization)
  • Supports the creation of test scenarios, test cases, test execution, go-live and post go-live
  • Evaluates new IT developments and applications
  • Analysis DQ issues and supports the central data governance team in issue resolving and long-term improvements
  • Provides ad-hoc reports in the scope of business analysis and pre-studies for new implementations
  • Participates in projects in the scope of the IT BI environment of his or her responsibility
  • Works out process and data-flow improvements and participates in their implementation

Your Profile

  • University degree in IT and related fields or similar technical education (technical high school, polytechnic university) with relevant experience)
  • Minimum of 5-7 years working experience in business analysis, preferable in the finance area, Fintech, insurance
  • Extensive knowledge of the concepts, principles, practices, techniques and tools used in Data Warehouse, Business Intelligence and Reporting
  • Expert data modeling skills (i.e. conceptual, logical and physical model design)
  • Good understanding of concepts of Operational Data Stores, Enterprise Data Warehouses and Data Marts
  • Knowledge of banking industry
  • Profound knowledge about business related topics and logical banking data warehouse model
  • MS Office, SQL
  • English; German, Russian or CEE language a plus

Annual Gross salary EUR60.000,- based on our collective bargaining agreement (for 38,5 hours/week) - additional payment according to skills and experience. The position can be filled as soon as possible. The employment is limited for 2 years.
