Job Introduction
As the Manager, Talent Attraction & Employer Branding you are a creative, dynamic, out-of-the-box thinker who is accountable for providing advice and managing the talent attraction strategy for Europe including employer branding, managing strategic partnerships and student engagement. You will develop and deploy strategic sourcing, targeting methods and tactics to enhance Magna's visibility to the European talent pool and position Magna as the employer of choice.

Major Responsibilities
Talent Attraction:

  • Partner with Magna HR leaders and key stakeholders in Europe to develop and execute strategies that enhance Magna's visibility in key recruiting markets that support workforce plans
  • Implement talent attraction strategies which will include social media, job board optimization, and complete talent acquisition campaign planning for Europe.
  • Develop and implement youth talent acquisition strategy by building relationships with universities and other key institutions
  • Develop and execute strategies to attract targeted talent segments that will build a pipeline of diverse talent
  • Manage the regional job boards and contracts to ensure that we are successful in enabling recruiters to fill their open positions
  • Management of appropriate local vendors to support the achievement of Talent Attraction objectives.
  • Manage and develop the content and recruitment marketing materials for an enriched candidate experience
  • Manage and administer job board chargeback/billing process in Europe
  • Perform talent attraction/acquisition analysis of relevant metrics, uncover and interpret trends in data, and provide recommendations for improvement

Employer Branding:

  • In partnership with Marketing and Communications develop, implement and maintain global and localized employer branding content strategy through the use of social media to attract, engage and build a pipeline of talent in the European local markets
  • Manage Magna sponsored employer branding events from development to implementation including program mapping/planning, budgets, stakeholder engagement, logistics, messaging (internal and external), developing content, and other core elements to successfully meet event objectives
  • Manage European sponsorship opportunities to brand Magna and to develop the next generation of talent
  • Develop tools to measure ROI of employer branding events and tactics, analyze results and make recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Provide leadership and guidance to our HR partners as an expert in employer branding in Europe
  • Research and identify new talent attraction/employer branding trends in Europe
  • Perform employer branding analysis to determine effectiveness of brand messaging, engagement and representation of Magna as the employer of choice in Europe
  • Track branding metrics that contribute to the Global State of Talent Dashboard

People Management

  • Manage the work and professional development of the Talent Attraction Coordinator, EU
  • Manage the Talent Attraction & Branding budget in Europe

Knowledge and Education

  • Completion of a university degree in Human Resources or Marketing

Work Experience

  • 5 - 7 years of work-related experience in Talent Acquisition/Recruitment Marketing/Employer Branding
  • Previous supervisory experience required
  • Event management / Student engagement experience

Skills and Competencies

  • Strong communication, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Demonstrated ability to encourage and inspire employees
  • A high level of financial and market knowledge is essential
  • Strong Vendor Management capability
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with various stakeholders across Magna
  • Demonstrated ability to manage change
  • Fluent in English and German (additional European languages considered an asset)

Work Environment

  • Domestic travel approximately 20% of the time
  • Global travel approximately 5% of time

Additional Information

  • The location of the role can be either Germany or Austria
