Mission of the Position

The Donor Services (DS) Coordinator contributes to the 2030 Strategy and plays an important role in the global service and support network connected to international individual giving products. Through close collaboration with sponsorship colleagues in member associations (MAs), the Donor Services Coordinator acts as a service minded and competent solution partner. One that pro-actively maps clients' needs, seek solutions, share knowledge and align with current product standards while guarding economies of scale for international sponsorship services. By ensuring effective workflows and impactful knowledge sharing, s/he supports the fundraising efforts of the Promoting and Supporting Associations (PSAs) and contributes towards building lasting relationships with our donors and increasing donor satisfaction and retention. S/he supports and advises MAs on how to balance between children's and sponsors' best interests, as well as respect privacy rights, data protection and other legal guidelines

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Main contact point for their respective MAs; maintains an overview of key performance indicators on individual giving of his/her MAs and coordinates their on-going services
  • Collects relevant product insights for his/her MAs and pro-actively shares information within sponsorship network
  • Coordinates the set-up of regular calls and yearly strategic talks with selected PSAs
  • Ensures timelines and high quality of enquiries and complaints for sponsors in collaboration with the international donor services network
  • Supports MAs on day-to-day issues regarding sponsorship services
  • Contributes to a consistently high quality of sponsor and child data in our systems and data exchanges
  • Supports efficient and timely information flows between involved parties in order to ensure high quality services for sponsors. This includes handling of emergencies, crises and special cases.
  • Aligns and coordinates the department's support for specific PSA sponsorship campaigns
  • Coordinates or takes part in internal workgroups or projects to achieve the strategic goals of the department


  • University degree in business administration/marketing, social sciences or related discipline or a technical diploma with at least 2 years' relevant work experience
  • A minimum of 4 years' experience with customer enquiries, donor retention and donor communication including some experience working with databases
  • Practical experience in managing a project or work group
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • A general interest in child and data protection topics and relevant aspects to communication, marketing and fundraising
  • Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written),German would be an asset
  • Good command of a Scandinavian language is a plus
  • Experience in product development and individual fundraising is an asset
  • Applicants must hold a valid Austrian working permit or are eligible to work within the EU
