The focus is on the development of new material for rings and packings in an international and multi-product environment. The team is primarily based in Vienna, but closely collaborates with globally distributed teams in the R&D department and the operational organization (sales, application engineering, purchasing, production). The desired future state is to establish a strong expertise in area of tribological ring and packings materials, in keeping with the business strategy, while driving growth through these innovations and securing the current market position.
One of the main changes in the next three years will be to establish the foundation for the future development of materials in the R&P segment, in keeping with the business strategy. Additional goals include incporating expertise pertaining to materials into the operative part of the organization; developing new R&P materials with a focus on overall reliability and performance (e.g. lifetime) to respond to market trends and requirements; achieving materials that allow a diligent capital investment throughout the entire lifetime of a product and conductig cost tracking (COGS) for new products.
The material development expert will be primarily responsible for the professional and technically well-founded development of new materials for R&P. In addition, the person will also assume responsibility for new materials with due regard to and compliance with budgets as well as cost targets and for the professional and careful handling of new business concepts in due consideration of financial, technical and human resource-related aspects. Based on wage structure agreements, we are offering for this role monthly payments starting at EUR 2,790 gross in respect to individual qualifications and experience.
