Junior Insurance Controller (f/m) / part-time (25 hours/week)

Your responsibilities:

You will act as a coordinator between Group companies, brokers and insurers in consideration of all insurance-related matters. Furthermore, you will provide a pro-active Claim Management and excellent client service to achieve high levels of satisfaction. Another responsibility is to maintain data, records and statistics to ensure our reporting.

Additionally, your tasks will include:

  • managing claims and ensuring that all classes of insurance claims are accurate and valid
  • supporting data tracking, payment processing, invoice review and cost allocations
  • liaising with brokers, underwriters and legal advisers
  • supporting policy reviews for annual renewals
  • reviewing contracts to confirm accurate data capture
  • proposing premium allocation and preparing claims overview for all insurance lines
  • carrying out administrative duties, including presentations
  • preparing and dealing with insurance quotation and coverage
  • coordinating the property valuation process with the external service provider and updating the insured values for renewal purposes
  • undertaking personal development to improve personal knowledge of the insurance industry lines and programmes
  • contract management with external suppliers
  • ensuring updates of our procedures and the Group's Insurance Manual
  • attempting to resolve complaints within 48 hours
  • maintaining quality and our customer service standards

Our requirements:

  • know-how in financial controlling
  • insurance understanding and willingness to gain further know-how
  • ability to advise stakeholders


  • fluent in Business English and German


  • (ongoing) Master studies with a specialization in Finance, Controlling and Insurance


  • professional experience (with a finance and insurance focus) is a benefit but no requirement


  • ability to work with strict deadlines
  • pro-active, efficient and target-orientated
  • calm and controlled under pressure
  • attentive to detail

Ref. Austrian "Bundes-Gleichbehandlungsgesetz": The position is subject to the Austrian collective agreement of the "Papierverarbeitende Industrie" with a legal minimum wage of EUR 25,626 gross/year on a full-time basis plus overpayment. The overpayment is determined by the qualification of the jobholder.
