OVERVIEW

Holder of this position will work in the Global Blue technology team as a Field Service Area Manager focused on supporting the Branch Office, the Refund Office and the execution of Issuing Solution (IS) implementation projects through the full life cycle.

As secondary responsibility is to ensure that IT systems infrastructure and products standardization are in compliance with GB standards and governance.

This role is based in Vienna, Austria but will require close cooperation with other Managing Directors for at least 11 Countries, central technology teams and international 3rd parties.

The candidate must have a strong service ethic, good communication skills and sales attitude as the role is managing Clients (whether internal or external), client facing and also dealing with external partners.

RESPONSIBILITIES

People & Relations
The holder of this position cooperates with:

  • Clients (Partners, Agents, Merchants, Customs and local GB staff)
  • Managing Directors in other Countries in Europe
  • Colleagues in other technology teams
  • External suppliers and 3rd party

Functional Duties:

  • Supporting the delivery of Issuing Solutions implementation projects within scope, timeline and budget
  • Ownership of System Requirement Specification for local integration activities of Issuing Solutions
  • Ensuring that global certification standards and governance are met for Integrated Issuing Solutions developed locally
  • Providing technical requirements to Implementation partners, GB product and service owners
  • Supporting commercial team with technical consultancy
  • Handle deployment, support, maintenance and decommissioning of Global Blue IT systems
  • Assisting the incident and problem resolution locally
  • Accepting, coordinating and prioritizing all "customer" requests assigned keeping very high the level of communication with GB Central Team
  • Staying up to date with current and upcoming technologies and concepts within his area of responsibility
  • Providing with guidelines on GB IT governance and products to all FS

Support and Improvement Role

  • Preparing specifications, installation and testing of computer systems and peripherals within established guidelines
  • Contributing to audits
  • Performing regular reviews of locally deployed technology and reassess usage
  • Contributing to workflow optimizations and definition of service catalogues

REQUIREMENTS

Education and experiencee

  • IT education, University degree preferred
  • Min. 5 years of experience in managing smaller but complex IT projects with external stakeholders or software development projects
  • Experience of working in international company or organization is a clear plus
  • Solid understanding of Point-of-sale (POS) related technology and transactional systems
  • Solid understanding of software development projects (especially low level system interfaces)
  • Understanding of customer needs and translation into functional requirements
  • understanding of agile engineering methodologies and the ITIL v3 ITSM best practice guidelines
  • (ITIL foundation certification is a plus)
  • Excellent English language skills both oral and written is a must, German is a plus
