International Volunteer Coordinator (m/f)

Fulltime / Location flexible - working from FOUR PAWS offices (Vienna, London, Hamburg or Zurich)

In this exciting and responsible role, the International Volunteers Coordinator champions the concept of volunteering within FOUR PAWS International. This involves supporting different departments, campaigns, project sites and countries in identifying volunteer placements and carrying out volunteer recruitment as well as having overall responsibility for volunteer management processes and guidance.

Your Tasks:

  • Ensure standardised volunteer guidance forms as well as onboarding procedures are up-to-date and in place
  • Act as a main point of contact regarding volunteer recruitment and management
  • Support other departments in developing new volunteer management processes
  • Report on volunteering statistics across the organisation
  • Encourage all FOUR PAWS entities to build volunteering objectives into their strategies (e.g. National Development plan)
  • Mobilise many new FOUR PAWS supporters by developing recruitment plans and engagement tactics within campaigns as well as a three-year volunteering strategy
  • Identify new skilled and unskilled volunteer opportunities and placements within the organisation
  • Network with external organisations to source both skilled and unskilled volunteers to match to those placements
  • Champion volunteering both inside and outside of FOUR PAWS via internal storytelling, external media use and on FOUR PAWS media channels

Your Profile:

  • Expertise in building up an international volunteers' programme
  • Experience in team coordination and reporting skills
  • Excellent communication skills in English and good knowledge of another language (written and oral)
  • Ability to think strategically and solve problems hands-on, as well as implement change
  • Able to effectively communicate virtually in a global environment
  • Able to live the mission and vision of FOUR PAWS
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally on a regular basis
