Payments and Accounts Specialist (m/f)


Job Summary

In this position you are responsible for processing domestic and foreign payment transactions and directing debits from booking in CBS through to final settlement. Furthermore you take care of accounts reconciliation, carry out Investigations and tracers, related to the execution of customer payments/direct debits and support audit requirements for data or documents delivery. In case of customer complaints you will actively handle all questions and inquiries and solve the issue.

Your Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Customer/counterparts static data and accounts maintenance in CBS in line with internal guidelines and KYC policy
  • Timely and accurate processing of incoming and outgoing customer payment orders for settlement on the instructed value date - checking of instructions authenticity, precise booking in CBS and follow up of execution
  • Book all kind of fees
  • Perform regular accounts reconciliation between internal bookings and bank statements
  • Production of regular or ad-hock reports related to payments statistics or efficiency analyses
  • Set up of online banking users, limits and their administration in the respective tool
  • Insert/Validate deals in the absence of the Treasury BO colleagues or provided that other reasons require them to act as their deputies
  • Apply a zero error approach in processing transactions, aiming to mitigate operational risk and keep financial losses for the Bank at a minimum level; comply with the four-eyes principle at every stage of transactions processing
  • Strictly follow and comply with internal regulations and legal framework, related to payments execution
  • Keep abreast of all related regulatory changes, propose necessary amendments, precisions and other necessary updates to internal processes and regulations; strive to always implement best banking practices in the area of payments

Your Profile

  • Minimum high school degree
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Operations and specifically customer payments area
  • Good knowledge of payment systems and infrastructures, as well as cash clearing and settlement processes
  • Good notions of accounting principles, zero operational error approach
  • Preciseness and attention to detail as well as curiosity
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Team-player
  • Initiative, capacity to work proactively and anticipate risks and potential problems
  • Problem solving capacity;
  • Stress resilience - ability
  • Computer literacy, very good knowledge of standard MS office package
    Very good knowledge of SWIFT rules and message types
  • Fluency in business English is a must. Knowledge of Russian and/or German would be an advantage

Annual Gross salary EUR40.000,- based on our collective bargaining agreement (for 38,5 hours/week) - additional payment according to skills and experience. The position can be filled as soon as possible.
