Job description

In your new role you will:

  • Work within a global development network across locations consisting of product marketing, application engineering as well as manufacturing operations (collaboration across locations and organizations is essential for success)
  • Plan, organize and control your project with full responsibility for all operational decisions and for the successful achievement of all project targets
  • Manage and control the entire project life-cycle and ensure hand-over to sustaining function as main contact person for all questions regarding the project
  • Form and lead a diverse project team and assign responsibilities within the project to sub-project managers and project team members
  • Assign tasks and work packages to the individual team members
  • Structure projects, ensure compliance and hold project team accountable
  • Continuously focus on quality, assess progress, navigate challenges and ensure that goals are met

Your profile

You have demonstrated your ability to manage complex projects with conventional and agile methods. You have a positive mindset and you can motivate people. You ensure a high customer quality by continuously working to make things better, faster and more efficient.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A university degree in electrical engineerin g or a similar technical background which gives you a good foundation to successfully manage the challenge ahead
  • At least 6 years of work experience in design or product engineering with 4 years of experience in leading projects
  • You understand the demanding automotive quality and functional safety requirements
  • Strong negotiation skills which help you to drive the project and to come to quick decisions
  • MS-Office and MS-Project skills
  • Fluent English skills with German skills as a plus

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group H - I (www.feei.at/arbeitswelt/kv-tabellen-statistik/mindestloehne-und-gehaelter-2017). The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.

The Automotive segment (ATV) designs, develops, manufactures and markets semiconductors for use in automotive applications. ATV offers a very broad product portfolio of microcontrollers, magnetic and pressure sensors, radio-frequency and particularly radar components as well as power semiconductors (discretes, modules and ICs). Infineon is one of the few semiconductor manufacturers for automotive that cover all established applications in vehicles: CO2 reduction, comfort electronics, driver assistance systems and security. In the area of safety the focus is on ADAS (advanced driver assistance systems).

The Power Train and Safety (PTS) team develops mixed signal ICs which are key parts used by nearly every reputable car manufacturer around the world. The team develops highly integrated mixed signal products in leading edge High Power / High Voltage BCD process technology. These chips include analogue, digital and firmware components to create highly differentiating products.
