Job description

We are looking for a Technical Lead for Discrete Power Platform Technologies within Automotive Division. We offer an advanced expert role within R&D with global impact equivalent to (Lead) Principal level on Technical Ladder career path. This role includes technical leadership of key R&D project(s) with significant impact on business success:

  • Allocation of tasks and co-ordination inside an R&D group
  • Coaching of new employees
  • Technical interface to internal development groups and project management
  • Technical interface to external development partners and technical interface towards customer (especially in case of escalation)


You have a proactive and independent working style, strong communication skills and experience in interacting with cross-functional teams.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • A University / University of Applied Sciences degree in Electrical engineering or similar
  • Approximately 10+ years of relevant job experience (R&D in semiconductor industry)
  • Expertise in technical / specialist areas with impact on global organization
  • Mentoring ability for area of expertise
  • Fluency in English due to working in multi-cultural teams internally and externally

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment Group J ( The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
