Your opportunity
Do you have a truly data-driven mindset? Does the challenge of analyzing data and uncovering underlying root causes energize you? Then this FP&A internship at woom is the perfect next step for your career. We offer an internship for a minimum of four months, available on a part-time basis (at least 20hrs/week). During your time with us, you will learn how to be a Finance Business Partner and see firsthand how digitalization is transforming our profession.

Your Mission

  • You are really at the driver seat of how this internship will develop for you. Depending on your area of interest, learning-curve and talent, you will be able to look into different areas of core FP&A, business finance, investor’s communication and strategic planning.

  • This program has shown to be an excellent talent pipeline for the team with interns having taken on full responsibility of woom's global fixed costs (OPEX) steering including performance tracking (analysis of cost deviations to budget and forecast), been a major contributor to strategic multi-year financial planning, having built up business cases for future revenue streams and were major drivers in volume planning dealing with thousands of data points by applying SQL to merge and disaggregate different data dimensions. In addition to project based tasks you will be responsible for the following:

  • You will work with the FP&A team on the monthly financial results deck and will own our core profit margin analytics file.

  • You will support the team during planning cycles (budget, forecast) in reporting and analytics, therefore will gain experience on how a budget and forecasts are done for a consumer goods business that deals with hundreds of different products and thousands of prices.

  • You support the Head of Global FP&A and BI with ad-hoc requests and presentations for the management team.

Your Skills

  • You are currently enrolled in a higher education program, ideally with a focus on business, finance, accounting, economics, or data analytics/BI

  • You have Excel and Power Point skills like a pro. SQL experience is a big plus

  • First experience with a data visualization tool is a plus

  • You speak English very well. German is a big plus since our day-to-day work is bilingual

  • You thrive in a fast-paced environment
