Themis Bioscience GmbH is a young, ambitious biotechnology company based in Vienna that primarily specializes on the development of innovative products against various infectious diseases. It is driven by the clear objective to advance promising products from preclinical to late-stage clinical development phases, in order to establish national and international collaborations.

To support the technical operations team in the development of its measles virus product platform by assisting in the day to day laboratory duties we are looking for a highly motivated

Laboratory Technician (f/m)

Your Responsibilities:

  • Assist senior laboratory personnel in setting up, adjusting and operating laboratory equipment for which the technician has been adequately trained and has been verified to operate correctly in accordance with applicable standards and sound laboratory practice
  • Assist in executing series of experiments to support the developmental program, all following established protocols
  • Documentation of results according to internal Quality Standards to ensure the quality of results and their documentation are acceptable to regulatory authorities
  • Maintain laboratory infrastructure, including purchasing of reagents and equipment, in-house preparation of materials and maintaining internal cleaning policies

Our Expectations:

  • Completed training as a research technician (e.g. medical technology)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in research/laboratory environment
  • Sound understanding and experience with molecular biological methods (cell based assays, ELISA, Western Blot, …)
  • Experience in virology is desirable
  • A resilient self-starter, who will be able to act independently, and learn quickly, within a rapidly evolving environment
  • Hands on mentality and high interest in working in a team of highly skilled and motivated professionals
  • Fluency in English and German
