Science Communication Assistant (m/f)

Part-time position: 20 hrs. weekly with flexible working hours

We are looking for you

We are seeking a skilled and creative mind to join our administrative team so that we can extent our communications/PR activities. VRVis is Austria's leading research center for visualization and virtual reality with headquarters in Vienna. You will find more information about us on our website

Key Responsibilities

  • Support of our science communications, press and public relations activities
  • Creation of content and articles for online and print media
  • Active support for website and social media channels
  • Monitoring and reporting of activities and results
  • Support during the planned web relaunch (content, structure)

What you will bring to the team

  • Excellent communication skills and joy to apply them
  • General interest in science & technology (in particular IT)
  • A good feel for target groups & respective content (presentation, image and text)
  • Hands-on experience with content management systems (Processwire, TYPO3, etc.)
  • First experience with SEO and SEA
  • Very good command of German and English
  • Team competence and can-do mentality
  • Completed or almost completed studies in communications/PR or 1-2 yrs. professional experience in comparable position
