Purpose & key responsibilities of the role:

The management of complex projects excites you. You are eager to further improve Lenzing’s project performance and to translate projects into business results by providing best practice PM tools, guidelines, trainings etc. You are willing to join projects and support them hands-on. As a structured, integrative, hands-on and analytical thinker you like to work with the organization to solve difficult challenges in projects. You like to have impact on business relevant projects, working therefore with colleagues on any organizational level is part of your basic routine.
To establish the Global Project Management Office (PMO), we are looking for an experienced project manager/ specialist who joins us to develop the Global PMO function and who likes to support strategic projects for the Lenzing Group by applying best practice tools and methods to continuously improve project performance within Lenzing.

  • Support the development and establishment of the Global Project Management Office (PMO) as a global, group-wide center of excellence
  • Define, implement and continuously improve global standards, guidelines and processes for project management
  • Define, roll-out and continuously improve related project management tools and tailormade project management trainings
  • Provide hands-on support for major business-, strategy- or investment projects
  • Design and maintain an intranet page for the Global Project Management Office
  • Design, promote and execute initiatives to enhance project management capabilities like training sessions, knowledge exchange forums, communities of practice
  • Foster knowledge management to distribute experiences gained within the entire organization

Our expectations for this exciting role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in (Industrial) Engineering or Economics
  • Completed Project Management certification (IPMA Level C/D or similar) is a plus
  • Experience in managing / steering, coordinating or controlling projects
  • Good English and German skills
  • Excellent IT skills (MS PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Pro-active teamplayer with a flexible working style
  • Open-minded with the ability to convince people
The monthly gross salary for this position is according to collective agreement in the chemical industry based on 38 working hours/week at least EUR 3.100.- with a willingness to overpay – depending on qualifications and experience. Additionally you will also take part in the Lenzing bonus system.
