10! As Head NTO Global Product Management, you will lead a team of 10 Strategic Product Leads. You and each member of your team will be responsible for the entire life cycle of a product, driving product strategic decisions with senior management and NTO Operations to ensure cost-effective, reliable supply. You will have end-to-end accountability for all product related aspects, propose the right enterprise trade-offs and act as single point of contact for the product.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for a team of NTO Strategic Product Leads; providing direction that supports product strategy in line with NTO & Commercial Operations objectives.
  • Ensures a balanced workload of the portfolio for Strategic Product Leads. Accountable for the management of the portfolio of products, which includes leading one or more of the products.
  • Provides development, training and coaching in order to maintain a talent pool that assures a high performance organization.
  • Supports the cross-fertilization of expertise within the organization to enhance performance by best practice sharing.
  • Defines and executes the product supply strategy, life-cycle management strategy, supply risk management and product roadmap to ensure robust, high quality and on-time supply together with SCM, QA, NTO, Commercial Operations, Marketing and Development.
  • Key NTO interfaces with commercial, Franchises, Marketing and Finance in relation to Product Strategy and evolution. Prepares and facilitates S&OP meetings. In collaboration with commercial operations and NTO, develop supply strategies and plans that support Novartis strategic direction.
  • Leads end-to-end product allocation for product programs according to the guiding principles for product allocation. Drives product allocation process for product programs to assure product supply strategy and product roadmap for Novartis.
  • Implements and leads global product supply monitoring and global product supply strategy meetings.
  • Implements and leads the cost leadership program with the focus of efficiency gain, supply network optimization and business continuity.
  • Liaise with product manufacturing sites, ensuring optimal site allocation, drug substance manufacture, drug product filling, packaging, device assembly, launch and commercialization.
  • Leads issue resolution for major deviations, crisis management and acts as SPOC for Franchise, Marketing, Commercial Operations, and Finance.
  • Ensures cross-functional product and launch management to ensure on time launches driving coordination in multiple supply sites.
  • Represents NTO in global project teams, and serves as single point of contact for other line functions.
  • Supports selection of external manufacturers, ensures strong ESO collaboration, participates in governance meetings as permanent member, is part of contract negotiations to ensure alignment with supply strategy and product costing roadmap.
  • Defines integrated strategic and operational product specific manufacturing plans with the objective to optimize value, time and resources and ensure strong execution of plans; leads scenario evaluation for different supply options.

What you'll bring to the role:

  • MBA, Business and Operations Management (or equivalent experience)
  • Fluent in German and English
  • 15+ years' equivalent multi / cross-functional leadership experience
  • TechOps and Quality experience
  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain, manufacturing, clinical product and regulatory processes

The base pay is composed of a market oriented excess payment and the respective amount according to the Austrian collective agreement (at least EUR 90,714.68 per year on a full time basis)
