The Communication Manager is responsible for the creation and implementation of a world-class PR programme through collaborative leadership of the editorial team in line with the communication strategy, while supporting the requirements of both internal and external stakeholders, including activation of Red Bull Air Race in the Red Bull host countries.

You'll support the Head of Communication with the development of the International Communication Strategy, milestones setup and its implementation during the season for all host countries. This includes to guide & enable national Communication teams and oversee activation, preparations and general communication set-up of a race in a host country together with national Communication teams. Additionally, you´ll be responsible for the race organization and communication set up management for all races.
As Communication Manager, you'll secure optimum worldwide media outcome of the Red Bull Air Race World Championship, the participating pilots, host cities and business partners to meet the strategic objectives of the organisation.
You'll lead on Commercial Communication & Global Partners PR Program (incl. Partner integration) and media center preparations, set-up and handover. In addition, you´ll support in Crisis Communication at the media center and editor of statements.
In this role, you´ll also lead press conferences at races and Host Countries Cities. Furthermore, you´ll lead the spokesperson programme and training for non-athlete spokespersons. The Media Days Communications and Demo Days Communication lead is also part of your role.
In this role, you'll be responsible for the editorial alignment between Red Bull Air Race and national Communication teams and supporting host country with media tasks.
Furthermore, you´ll work with countries and content manager for translations and distribution of press releases. You'll align with Communication Manager Athletes & Race teams regarding key messages and editorial strategy for the Race Teams during the season. If required, you´ll also manage external agencies and prepare the creative briefs.
Lastly, you´ll be responsible for the budget management for the above-mentioned projects.
Proven experience in a communication role in a fast-paced environment where tight deadlines are standard
Experience planning and executing a multi-channel PR strategy, including across digital channels
Ability to stay calm under pressure and deliver outstanding results
Strong team player with great interpersonal skills
Excellent organization and attention to detail

Due to legal reasons we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 1816 gross per month. However, our attractive compensation package is based on market-oriented salaries and is therefore significantly above the stated minimum salary.
