Job description

In your new role you will:

  • Maintain the CAD navigation software infrastructure to enable high sophisticated failure analysis supported by layout and schematic
  • Cooperate with chip development teams to integrate state of the art EDA datasets into the CAD navigation tool
  • Implement Design-for-Test and Design-for-Analysis (DfT/DfA) pattern to ensure testability of digital logic in ASICs
  • Develop and maintain software tools to fulfill the next step of automatization in electrical failure analysis processes
  • Sustain the current software landscape for product verification and localization tasks at the failure analysis department
  • Closely cooperate with other software and hardware development engineers inside the failure analysis family world wide
  • Share knowledge with other IT experts at Infineon
  • Provide IT support and guidance to the failure analysis engineers

Your profile

You are convincing by the fact that you are a team player, motivated by striving for ambitious goals and committed to top quality. You enjoy developing your knowledge and skills. You communicate openly, clearly, and coherently.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

  • University / university of applied sciences degree in Computer Science, Information and Computer Engineering (Telematics), Electrical or Electronic Engineering
  • Knowledge of UNIX based scripting
  • Knowledge of software development with Python, C, C++, LabVIEW, Java
  • Fundamentals of electrical engineering
  • Fluent German and English skills

This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry, employment group F ( The monthly salary is paid 14 times p.a. A higher payment is negotiable depending on your expertise and skills. Furthermore, Infineon offers additional employee benefits.
