Area of Responsibility

The Lean Six-Sigma Manager (m/f) is a senior member of the Site Operational Excellence (OpEx) Team and is responsible for driving and leading LEAN/IQP (Innovation Quality Productivity) project implementations to ensure quality and productivity improvements on site. He will report directly to the Head OpEx.

  • Lead/Supervise: IQP continuous improvement initiatives and projects
  • Lead/Supervise: Complex investigations that are scientifically challenging or that involve multiple functions and/or sites. Drive them forward and bring them to a timely conclusion under consideration of IQP elements
  • Supervise: The establishment of a raw material data-base and the respective maintenance
  • Minimize process and quality issues by attacking the problems root causes and applying IQP principles for improvement
  • Ensure end-to-end oversight of process performance and early initiation of corrective actions based on monitoring of product/process parameters.
  • Define concepts and strategies for efficient process monitoring
  • Lead Site Master Plan and be a site lead for NMM (Novartis Manufacturing Manual)

Qualifications

  • Education: University Degree (or ideally PhD) in technical or business discipline in a relevant area (chemistry, pharmacy, mechanical engineering, etc.), green belt certification (black belt preferred); lean education/training
  • Languages: Fluent in English and German
  • Experience: At least 8 years' experience in the pharmaceutical industry, preferable in technical development and Biopharmaceutical production, Experience in 6 Sigma and LEAN, Expertise in the field of biotechnology, development/production and bioanalysis, Strong experience in Quality by Design (QbD) (e.g. principles applied during process development, process characterization and commercial phase)

In accordance with the Austrian collective labour agreement, we advise you that the minimum gross annual salary for this role is 65.000 euros.
