The combination of advanced power switches and modern mixed signal technologies we are enabling new topologies for highest energy efficiency at lowest system cost for the industrial market. With pre-development projects we are evaluating applications like servo drives for robotics, drives for industrial or home appliances as well as for energy harvesting technologies like solar, to find new solutions to their specific problems e.g. EMI performance.

We are seeking for an experienced Designer of power electronics or a mixed signal gate driver designer with good understanding of power converters. You will be responsible for defining and evaluating new concepts and methods for leading edge architectures of power stages and converters in close cooperation with the marketing, application engineers and the R&D teams. With your good understanding of the application needs, you will support the R&D team in better understanding the requirements and implementing those during the product development phase.
The core of power converter electronics consists of a gate driver IC, the power switch, like IGBT and SiC Mosfets. Together with many auxiliary services such as temperature / voltage / current / SOA monitoring an optimization in terms of performance and cost on system level needs to be achieved.

The Industrial Power Control segment (IPC) designs, develops, manufactures and markets semiconductors and system solutions primarily for the use in industrial electronic applications. IPC offers semiconductor products for various power transmission stages, i.e. from the generation via the transmission, and finally the conversion of electric power. IPC's product portfolio comprises discrete IGBT devices, IGBT modules and IGBT stacks, as well as IGBT driver ICs and driver boards for controlling IGBT modules and covers practically the entire power range from a few hundred watts to several megawatts. IPC's target applications include industrial drives (motors, pumps, fans, compressors), home appliances, renewable energy generation, and traction.
