Project Engineer for Power Applications (m/f)

Siemens Personaldienstleistungen is a leading temporary employment agency and for our customer in Vienna, we are looking for a/an Project Engineer for Power Applications.

Power Applications (PA) represent modules of Spectrum Power, a Siemens IT product for supervisory and control of (electrical) transmission network and generation companies. PA serve the purpose of controlling the generators in a customer network meeting the requirements for network stability, contractual obligations, and economic dispatch. Furthermore, PA performs monitoring of the current state of generation for both active and reactive power, network frequency, reserves, and load shedding.

What are my responsibilities?

• Discussion with customers regarding requirements and modelling
• Development of extensions to the existing software
• Customization of existing software according to the needs of the customers
• Testing in factory and on-site
• Creation and/or adaptation of development and customer documentation (design documents, test documentation, user documentation)

What do I need to qualify for this job?

• Electrical engineering background (HTL or TU)
• Good knowledge and practical experience in C and C++
• German and English fluently for technical discussions and in writing
• Further languages are a plus
• Unix experience is a plus
• Java experience is a plus
• Team spirit
• Communication skills
• Willingness to travel to different project sites (mostly Europe and Middle East)
